Genny Ross-Barons

That reminds me of a similar incident I had when I was also around 9 years old. An old factory (across the road from my house had a wonderful spot to build a campfire. Unfortunately what I deemed as perfect was actually a space under rotted wooden stairs. The fire didn't get to big and was quickly extinguished by the policeman who happened by. I'll never forget him sternly telling me that I had to report what I had done to my parents and that he would be by later to do the official report. I fretted for hours and finally confessed to my mom. I knew it would be far worse if I waited until the policeman showed up and shared my campfire misadventure. I got the lecture and think I even got grounded for a few days. But as I hung out in my room waiting...the policeman never came to talk to my parents...he knew I would fess up on my own. Not a fan of camping since that day.
