I don't fear going into the birth canal with the "program" I'm being intimidated into -- I just loathe my choices -- giving in to or running away from (same thing here) Tony Soprano.

Thanks, Teresa! Yes, I remember! :)

Mary, I like to think of Chiron as the Wounded Healer and Gift Giver, because often our greatest gifts are contained in the process of resolving our chronic emotional or physical pain, including discovering our true vocation. Examples: Candy Lightner's 13-year-old daughter was killed by a drunk driver. She went on to co-found Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD). Its influence has lowered alcohol-related deaths by more than 40% in the US. Another example: A stutterer who heals himself and becomes a great orator. Or Michael J. Fox who transmutes his own challenge with Parkinson's to help others, not just with the disease, but he heals everyone who encounters him with his upbeat inspite-of-it all attitude. Another key concept of Chiron is the ability to make lemonade out of lemons.

Chiron is my astrological specialty. There are many article on Chiron on The Radical Virgo. Thanks for acknowledging him!

Thanks for this Joyce. Helps a non astrologer like myself understand some of the recent challenges in life. Remember when I wanted to blow up Pluto? Thankfully, a bit of grace has set in twenty years later and I feel more up to the challenges. :)

Barbara, thank you so much for this feedback. One of my goals is to help people without a technical background in astrology understand what's going on "Upstairs," especially when the sky messages are profound and more noteworthy than usual. I'm so happy I hit the mark for you in this post!

I love Yods. (I'm sorry I don't own one!) Guess I have to admit I'm an old hippie at heart myself. If you visit my blog, The Radical Virgo, you'll see the peace sign is part of the masthead. I do believe we're morphing into a kinder, gentler, humanity.

Blessings!

Barbara Schiffman

Thanks, Joyce, for making these astrological energies easy to understand! Also for letting us know that Chiron's energy will be helping us find and appreciate integration, unity and hopefully harmony, Having been a "hippie" in the 60s, I remember how amazing that time was and have been wishing we'd have a resurgance of that energy in a whole new way. Maybe we will!

Also, I have a Yod cross (upside-down Y) between Pluto (in Gemini), Saturn (in Libra) and Venus (in Aries) in my birth chart, and am definitely evolving in many ways these days. Glad to know I'm getting planetary support even when events may appear challenging. Your astro-insights are appreciated!
