The other day I was working out at the gym lamenting over the fact that, although I’m losing body fat and weight, I can’t seem to control where I’m losing it.
As I lift weights, aiming for perfect buns of steel, it seems that what keeps disappearing are my breasts. And trust me spirited women; I never had much to begin with.
Recently, TV personality Kelly Ripa announced that she would never get implants despite the fact that she’s under constant public scrutiny. Kelly goes on to say in a recent AOL interview:
“You know what's so funny? I used to always think, "I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it," and then I just started thinking, you know, someone's got to represent the small girls. I mean, there are a lot of us out there ... they're not making all those small cup sizes just for me. Plus, I would think, why tamper with something? What if something went wrong?”
I read it and smiled to myself because this is exactly what I’m going through right now. I’m getting into the best shape of my entire life but at the same time losing the “girls” I have left over after giving birth and breast feeding two babies. I still won't even leave the house without a padded bra on.
But Kelly Ripa has just inspired me to perhaps turn into one of the spirited women that “represents the small girls.” I’ll try!
Kelly, age 38, is a Libra Sun with a Scorpio Moon. Her Sun sign is ruled by Venus, the planet of love, beauty and self worth. But it’s her Scorpio planets (Moon, Jupiter, Venus and Neptune) that give her the gift of exploring subject matter that other people might prefer to leave “underground.” It’s that Libra Sun that allows her to do it in such a gracious and socially pleasing way.
A closer look reveals that Kelly has Venus opposing Saturn in Taurus. Venus is the planet of self-worth and Saturn is the planet of restriction and blocks. I commend Kelly for embracing her own self-worth and being committed to her decision.
Venus-Saturn squares and oppositions are a clear cut aspect that indicate a woman who might have major insecurity issues (bet you didn’t see that one coming?) to work through. It looks like she “licked” her Venus-Saturn opposition right out of her karmic closet!
I have Venus square Saturn so I can relate. Maybe I won’t get the implants but at the same time I will keep Victoria’s Secret in business, buying all the fancy padded bras I can find.
I guess Kelly Ripa is just more evolved than me. And my "girls."

Love it, love it. I have a friend who insists I'd be a great candidate for a boob job. I keep telling her that I am perfectly happy with my 32As. She can't believe it, but I am living proof that a woman can be secure with the body she has been given. Amen.

Good for Kelly. My boobs are largish but so's my belly!
I don't think women realize that there are plenty of men out there who LOVE small breasted women - LOVE them!
I miss the seventies, when all the small-chested women could be seen prancing around freely, with their toned bodies and long hippie hair. Those were the days!
Small boobs are great, so are big ones. People are beautiful!
Dina (I'm Libra sun with Scorpio moon, too!)
