What an incredible, influential woman; with pearls of wisdom that shines through you! It is known to be said that our mother’s examples in living are the heights that lead our way. Your mother truly raised the bar for your entire family and every spirited woman here.

Although I had a complete different upbringing because I come from an unusually large family; I can relate to your mother’s adventurous spirit from my own mother: She often reminded us that if she hadn’t seventeen children to look after, she wouldn’t let anything stand in her way to living as your mom successfully accomplished. In fact, she said that she would have gone back to school to earn her degree in nursing. (A dream vocation she longed to do). But with so many children under her care, she was doing a whole lot of nursing everyday, anyway, by truly nursing us! And, as much as I have become a lot like her in so many ways; I am always reminded of her words that keep me going forward with a fearless spirit, whatever I may venture in. And through her words of wisdom to what she "would have done": I continue her legacy by fulfilling my life with wonderment that maps the way for every spirited woman that follows.

As the spirited woman continues to keep her heart, soul, and mind on those things that benefits her family; she can do anything in the world she sets her mind to. And God will provide everything she needs on her journey!

Sorry, I wrote "amazing" twice, maybe Nancy should re-think me... ;)

Dawn,
What an amazing story (and I love your hair in the photo in Black and White). Your mom sounds amazing. My mom did not have such an exciting life as yours but I do see the similarities in the lessons of loving life and living it to the fullest. She met my dad when she was 20, married young (to me that sounds young) and raised 4 daughters and there has never been one day when she has not made us feel like we can do ANYTHING!
Mabe that's how Nancy found all of us - because of our Spirited Moms!
