Have you ever heard the expression "out with the old and in with the new?" I don't think this is true in all cases of life. Just this week my mom had her friend from high school over. She is an old friend who my mom still keeps in touch with. I have a lot of friends and at the beginning of the year they weren't close with each other, so I didn't know who to sit with and play with because I didn't want my other friends to feel bad. As the year has gone on, they have all become friends with each other.
Friendship is an important part of your life. When you find a truly good friend you stick with them. When it comes to friends, the expression that fits best is more like "the more the merrier."
Most of my friendships started with seeing someone smile at me. It's that simple. I look for trust, friendship, kindness and happiness. A true friend encourages your inner spirit - helping to bring out your best. By strengthening your strengths, you can be the Spirited Woman you want to be!

Alice,
I'm no spring chicken, but I still have some of the same friends I met in the first grade. I won't tell you how many years ago that is, but trust me, it's quite a few!
The greatest thing about them is that we can go months without talking--because of work and family pressures, etc. Then, when we meet again, we jump right in as if no time at all has passed.
We make it a point to get everyone together AT LEAST once a year for a holiday dinner. We laugh and talk about all the changes the year has brought, then, inevitably, talk about "the good ole days."
Enjoy your good ole days, Spirited One!
