CONVERSATION WITH AIMEE LIU
NEW! Listen to Aimee Liu in a 3-min. audio clip from her 51-min. conversation.
Renowned author, Aimee Liu is a courageous survivor. Her teenage struggle with anorexia led her to write her first book Solitaire. Almost 30 years later, she debuted its sequel, Gaining: The Truth About Life After Eating Disorders on The Today Show. In between those years- her novels - Flash House, Cloud Mountain, and Face - have been translated into more than a dozen languages and her articles, essays, and short stories have appeared in such magazines as Self, Cosmopolitan, and Glamour.
In her "live" conversation, Aimee talked about writing about one's personal experiences (the good, the bad, and the ugly), the difference between writing fiction and non-fiction, growing up with a mixed-race identity, how she became an eating disorder advocate, and more.
Aimee's conversation is revealing, filled with candor, and is utterly endearing.
