Corrie Woods is a women’s self-care coach, a professional speaker, and the author of the award-winning book, The Woman’s Field Guide to Exceptional Living. Her message to women everywhere: To nurture great relationships, experience great health, do great work in the world, and know great joy. She says, "We must begin by taking great care of ourselves."
That is a tall order for busy women who are often far better at caring for others than they are at caring for themselves. Having worn many hats along the way, Corrie knows intimately the challenges that come with a busy life. She has been a stay-at-home - home school mom, a program evaluator for a community-based nonprofit, as well as serving in an upper management position in a multi-million dollar corporation. Ultimately Corrie heeded the call to follow her bliss and in 1999 became a women’s life coach.
Her diverse background, her own experience with burn-out, and her passion to support women has led to her emergence as a leader in the field of women’s self-care coaching. She serves an international clientele through her coaching, wellness retreats, speaker’s platform, and through her writing.
Her first book, The Woman’s Field Guide to Exceptional Living, published by Morgan James Publishing in April 2008 and was released to critical acclaim. It reached the publisher’s top-ten best-seller list three months running and has been chosen as a finalist in two national book awards.
What’s the appeal? It’s a formula that spirited women everywhere can relate to. It is part fun, part provocative, part down-to-earth practical tips and 100% pure delight. This book helps women to transform the ordinary in their lives into the extraordinary. That is what Corrie is all about! And we at Spirited Woman support her.
