“I never make enough money.”
“I get sick every October.”
Sound familiar?
Time and time again, day in and day out, most people unconsciously limit themselves with their words. What difference do your words make? Your words are the fuel behind your actions. When you make proclamations about your life, you can’t help but continue to choose actions that will perpetuate the conditions described by your words, even if those conditions are undesirable. Every time you make a statement like “I always pick men/women who are unavailable,” you are programming yourself to continue making that choice. You restrict yourself from the possibility of choosing differently.
How can your words have such a strong effect on your life? Your words program your subconscious. Your subconscious mind doesn’t discern between words that describe what you want and words that describe conditions that may have been true in the past that you don’t want. And by “in the past,” I mean as recently as a second ago. By choosing your words wisely, you allow the possibility of making new choices right now that can help you break free from the prison of your past patterns.
As far as your subconscious is concerned, every word is a prayer. When you repeat a statement like, “I never make enough money,” it is as if you are placing your order to the Universe. At the energetic level, your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between your giving prayers of thanks for your blessings, as in, “I give thanks for my abundant good health,” or your complaining, “I get sick every October.” Each statement is interpreted as an intention or desire and reinforces the requested outcome.
