Ever dream of the most delicious, luscious, scrumptious dish ever?
What was it? Perfect plump blackberries drizzled with cream? A gorgeous grilled steak with a side of asparagus and a yummy baked potato? Ten different types of sushi, imaginatively prepared and presented?
Well, when I dream in living color like that, a great meal is just a small part of the overall "delicious" aspect of the picture.
I'm enjoying this hedonistic fantasy at a table on a sweet deck that's open to gentle sea breezes. Soft island music is playing in the background -- marimbas, steel drums. The sun is just setting over the horizon, with traces of orange where the rays were traceable in the sky a few minutes ago.
My table is made of wide planks. There is a sparkling white tablecloth, fresh cornflower blue flowers in a clear glass vase, a bottle of Sangiovese, and two glasses. A man is seated across from me at the table, although I cannot clearly see his face.
I'm wearing a rainbow-colored caftan that blows languidly in the breeze, a rose-gold multi-strand necklace, and gold sandals.
What on earth does all this mean?
That I can't say, but I do know that all of this adds up to ... deliciousness for me, and I intend to savor every moment of my dream.
