My feet blister in my shoes
The heat whisks away my soulMy heart pounds harder than before
The drum stops beating evermore
Night falls deeper with each hour
My eyes begin to shut
Foot after foot step I begin to go
The stars are my guide
Exhausted I stop
My heart ceases to pop
My joints are falling apart
With one final wish
I blow the world a kiss and
see the stars as I close my eyes
When I wake the breaths I take
are a blessing in disguise
I slowly begin to cry
Whenever I don't know the way the stars are my guide.
