All of you Sex & the City fans must be shaking in your boots and gearing up for number 2! Get your martinis ready and the girls together for a night at the movies! Yesterday, the official movie poster (the movie is set to release in May, 2010) was revealed and it's looking like things are a bit glittery this time around. Parker looks super chic in a stunning white Halston Heritage dress, gold aviator Ray Bans and Solange Azagury-Partridge necklace.
I am definitely a Sex & the City fan and loved the first movie - but not really because of the story. For me, it's all about the wardrobe! Patricia Field, the wardrobe director and fashion stylist is one of my personal favorites. I love her store which is conveniently (and dangerously) located about 10 blocks from my apartment. She carries the absolute hottest pieces. Lot's are actual vintage - old Chanel bustiers, Versace sequin dresses from the 80's and some of her own line - all inspired by other eras. She is the queen of vintage and I am looking forward to watching her dress the screen in the second film! And I'm pretty sure that her visions will end up starting some new trends.
The rumor is churning and there are already speculations about what happens to this year's characters , Carrie (SJP), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Samantha (Kim Cattrall) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis). Scenes for #2 were also filmed in Morocco which is an exciting twist to their otherwise usual home turf - NYC. Samantha is said to be getting married while Carrie and her recent marriage to Mr.Big is suffering due to the turn in the economy. It also looks like they are either having a baby or going to adopt one! Some cameos include Mley Cirus, Liza Minnelli and British comedian Omid Djalili.
Last year's film grossed $412 million dollars worldwide and this year will hopefully do more.
