Ah, holiday travel is upon us and the question we all face is, how do we stay organized while running from place to place, with gifts, holiday clothes, winter accessories, ourselves, pets, families and friends without losing our minds. Well, I just found this great site that helps you keep all of your travel plans organized in one place and is easily accessible from the web or your phone. Tripit.com is a free online service where you can send all of your confirmed travel details and they will organize it into one travel itinerary for you.
For Christmas, I will be traveling to Denver to visit my brother and his family. My parents and relatives are flying in and we are all staying at a local hotel near my brother’s home. We will be renting an SUV as we are spending one day up in the mountains to do a little skiing and we will spend another day road tripping to Boulder. With all of the travel details going into this one trip, I am getting confirmations from my airline for the flights I booked for my husband and I, a confirmation from the rental car company and a confirmation from the hotel we will be staying at. We will also be making reservations at a ski resort and dinner reservations in Boulder.
I can send any email confirmation I get directly to Tripit and they will automatically compile all of the elements into one itinerary. You can also add details to the schedule of shopping trips, brunch meetings, dinners at a family or friend’s home and any other detail that you want to include in the itinerary. Once your itinerary is complete, you can share it with anyone you would like. You can also view the itinerary online or via your mobile device. Check out a sample itinerary.
You no longer have to print out all of your travel confirmations – you can have them all in one place! It's a great way to ease your mind during your upcoming holiday travel and let you enjoy the real reason for the season – spending time with loved ones and celebrating the wonder of life and love!
Happy Holidays to you!

That IS a great site - I'm glad to know about it. I am a AAA Auto Travel Counselor so I am the one you should see before you hit Tripit.com because I can help you find hotels with good AAA rates (and sometimes other rates that are even better than AAA), things to do, places to go, places to eat AND give you written and mapped directions (far superior to Mapquest, Google or Yahoo) with distances between stops, rest areas, gas-food-lodging, and even up-to-date construction and gas prices! Our travel agents can book flights and rental cars (hotels too) and then you can take all the information and "tripit".com. A great tool - thanks for sharing it.
