As the holidays rapidly approach that age old question pops its lovely head up: "What will I wear?" Nearly every Spirited Woman will find herself in need of at least one stunning holiday outfit and in some cases multiple high impact ensembles are needed. Sure, if you have the time and the inclination, you can spend a good day or four scouring the local boutiques or shopping malls for that perfect look or you can take the easier route and surf your way to your holiday bliss. There is the major disadvantage that you can't try on a picture but the good news is that many sites will now pay for the shipping on your returns. Besides the advantages of having an entire globe full of stores at your fingertips is just too tempting to pass up.
Since every Spirited Woman has her own style and look, I offer a few suggestions below for sites that have the best variety for your festive apparel. Happy holiday shopping!
Simply Dresses - This is a great site if you are sure a dress is the way you want to go. They carry dresses for every occasion and have a nice collection of holiday dresses. Their prices are not cheap but they are not outrageous either. The return policy is not the greatest as you absorb the cost of shipping the return and you have a limited amount of time to make a return once you receive the merchandise. Still, they have some wonderful choices and you may just find THE dress for you,
Rusty Zipper - Like vintage? This site is for you. They have clothing for everyone in the family but it is their vintage cocktail dress section that can be most useful to you in your pursuit of the perfect holiday look. There are some beautiful pieces at extremely reasonable prices for example a beautiful 1960s cocktail skirt at $25 would certainly sell for at least 10 times that price brand new. The only down side is that these pieces are one offs so if it is not your size you are out of luck.
Monsoon - Though they do have splendid women's clothing, this site is one of my all time favorites for children's clothing. The fairytale like dresses for little girls are to die for and the dapper fashions for boys make you realize that little boys can certainly be stylish too.
Lipsy - A UK based online store has numerous holiday styles to choose from. Though their look tends to run a bit young, there really is something for nearly every woman you just have to do a bit of weeding out. They are even having a mid-season sale right now so certainly worth a surf by.
Last but not least is Zappos, though I raved about them in a past post because I was able to find a pair of magnificent shoes through their huge online stock, they are also now selling clothing. Their customer service is the best I have ever experienced and when you add in their free return policy, a stop to Zappos becomes a near must on your holiday shopping hunt.
