Growing up I always loved Thanksgiving because it meant being surrounded by many of the people I loved the most... and then of course there was the food. I have to admit though that it wasn't until I was in to my adult years that I really began to think about what Thanksgiving stood for and what an important holiday it truly was. As you have no doubt experienced for yourself, an attitude of gratitude can make all the difference in your life and for one special day each year we are reminded to reflect on all the good we have in our lives.
Since we are a community of spirited women, it seems only fitting that we take a moment on the day of giving thanks to be grateful for all of the spirited women in our lives. I have been fortunate to be surrounded by strong, independent and loving women throughout my life and I could not be more thankful for that. Each of these special women from my grandmother, to my mother to my best friend, to my mentors to my dear friends across the globe, has positively influenced my life in some small or large way.
And so today my dear readers, the day before Thanksgiving, I would like to take the time to tell you how grateful I am for you. I thank you for being part of the Spirited Woman community, for contributing your positive energy, for sharing your thoughts and comments, for reading our blog posts and most of all for being you. Each of you are unique and magnificent in your own way and it is this lovely mix that makes the Spirited Woman community such an inviting and diverse place to be.
Last but not least I would be remiss in not giving my thanks to the woman who makes Spirited Woman happen: Nancy Mills. Nancy is a vibrant, giving, and innovative mentor and friend. Without Nancy, we would not be here together sharing this moment of thanks, so thank you so very much Nancy.
Be sure to take a moment on Thanksgiving day to let all of the spirited women in your life know how very important and special they are. While you're at it, why not be grateful for who you are too?
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to spirited women everywhere!
To Your Spirited Style,
