There is the old saying that shining light in the dark brings new discoveries... and that holds true for the deep oceans as well as for our consciousness. We are coming up on Census year, 2010 is the Decennial Census, to count all of the population in the US. I was exploring on the internet this weekend and had great fun in discovering that not only is 2010 Census year on dry land but under the sea too.
The Census of Marine Life, conducts many operations to count the inhabitants and understand the under sea population all across the globe. And 2010 is their big Census year too. I found an interesting video where Ian Poiner director of the Census of Marine Life, shows us some of the new creatures that have been found in the deep sea.
I think its a wonderful metaphor for us to watch as these inquisitive Census researchers shine light into the depths of the sea looking to see if anyone is home. To a person who has their mind closed off, thinking that "they will believe it when they see it" - there would be absolutely no need to look into what appears to be a dark lifeless place on our planet.
But people who are tuned into their inspiration understand that when you believe it you will see it. In 2010, the Census of Marine Life, will share with us many species they have discovered many miles under the surface of the sea. These unique and adaptable creatures have been here all along. It's our desire to step into our inspiration and believe there is so much more than what we can see right now that has allowed us to discover so many more wonderful inhabitants to be counted in the 2010 Census of Marine Life.
What new things are you inspired to let into your life? Are you ready to shift your thinking of being stuck in the "I will believe it when I see it" thinking ? There is so much to discover and so many places that shinning a light of openness to possibilities will reward you with understanding of yourself you never thought possible.
