What if… we spend a lot of our time what-if-ing. We string together a long chain of all the things that could go wrong or make life even more difficult for us.
So today lets play with making it a "what if" day from a positive focus. Start moving through your day and thinking about all the wonderful "what ifs" that would be delicious to come into your life today or in the next week or so.
Here are some "what ifs" that may be a good jumping off point:
What if...... my car easily went two more miles for each gallon of gas I put in the tank this week
What if..... the first three people I came across today greeted me with a smile and lifted my mood
What if......I found a dollar on the street when I was walking
What if..... the person in front of me paid for my toll
What if......I felt a spring in my step as I moved through my day
What if..... the next conversation I had gave me an inspired idea
What if......I got a rebate on one of my bills out of the blue this week
What if......I changed lanes just in time to miss the big mud puddle
What if..... the wording for a project I am working on just started flowing into my mind
What if......I noticed how smooth my skill was
What if......the pictures I thought I lost suddenly showed up
What if.......the project I wanted to get hired to do came through in a bigger scope
Play with these and then start focusing on ones that let you expand your thought chain and start building links in your thoughts that have you focusing on what if all these next steps of good things happened instead of the old habit or awfulizing and focusing on "what ifs" from a negative focus.

We are always our worst enemies, even the best of us, destroying ourselves with our negative inner thoughts. I love the 'What If.." approach with a positive focus because it is a quick but effective exercise to happiness and success. Thank you for sharing.

This is really a terrific post. We spend so much time in our heads anyway, why not "what if" in a way that empowers us, instead of scares us? I love your suggestions and think if people really took this on, they would see their day in a whole new way. And the next challenge is to create a positive "what if" even when a challenge shows up? For instance, "What if...I wasnt supposed to get that job?" "What if...losing my camera is actually a blessing?" This reveals the power we have to choose to see the world through new eyes. Thank you for this post.
