The Spirited Woman is joining numerous other women-related blogger sites such as Digital Mommy, Lipsticking and Savvy Woman on the Stiletto Woman Blog Tour. Hooray for Hollywood, or should we say the blogosphere!
Founded by Karlena Wallace, the mission of Stiletto Woman is to use new-media technology to empower women - everyday women to live life to the fullest - and to tell the stories of real women, provide real inspiration, and impact real life. The company is both on the web and off-line in the community.
This summer, the company launched the Stiletto Woman Magazine. Their premiere issue features the 50 Most Amazing Women On The Web. Stiletto Woman set out to find women who were doing amazing things with their small businesses. The Stiletto Woman judging panel consisted of eight professionals who started with over 100 women from which they selected the top 50 by evaluating them based on idea innovation, those who showed great leadership and had a desire to help others both locally and nationwide (we call those Spirited Women!).
Wallace wanted the magazine to exhibit diversity - not solely in the range of women featured, but also in the types of businesses, web sites, and blog sites showcased. Stiletto Woman deliberately profiled authentic women you might not hear about every day.
The top winners range from an event and party theme planner with a hip and modern twist for contemporary women today, an organic baby food entrepreneur who offers products for toddlers and kids, to a Double Dutch Magazine publisher who inspires African-American teen girls.
You should definitely know about these ladies. They are AMAZING!
Stiletto Woman will also release special magazine editions in 2010 including a Women's Health edition followed by a College Moms edition Fall 2010.
And... if you know someone who the world needs to know about (yes, I do, she's named Nancy Mills!), don’t hesitate to submit them for a Stilettology feature which is a weekly segment on the Stiletto Woman website highlighting women who have defined their own style, their own mark, and their own classification of who they are.
This Spirited Woman wants to know....do you know of other great sites that empower women that we should let our readers know about?
