We are in the holiday season and we are also in the season of dark nights in most areas of the globe. The time of the winter solstice.
The winter solstice is December 21st this year, when in the Northern hemisphere the day light is the shortest of the year. Solstice in Latin means "when the sun stands still."
The winter solstice is the time when the new sun is born, a time for going within, nurturing ourselves and seeing the world with new eyes, new possibilities.
It seems with all of the changes, the chaos and confusion swirling around, that now more than ever going within and seeing the world with new eyes is the most beneficial thing we can do.
What are you noticing during this time of darker nights? Are you feeling a pull to go within and to gather in new ways that bring you back to yourself and reconnect you with others in new ways?
What little rituals, little tributes will you create to spread new possibilities spread around the world?
"In the depths of winter I finally learned there was in me an invincible summer." ~ Albert Camus
