Finally, finally - after being in business for over 12 years and connecting with women worldwide, our dream of establishing The Spirited Woman Foundation has come true.

The purpose and mission of the Spirited Woman Foundation is "To help heal and support women through actions of empowerment."

As many of you know, Spirited Woman is one of the leading women's empowerment communities in the world, and we are so pleased to carry our mission one step further - by helping others who deeply need our help.

And we couldn't have done it without YOU: the Spirited Women who have continually supported us through our various activities. A large portion of our Foundation money continues to be raised through our Sisterhood of the Sacred Scarves program. It is by purchasing these "Spirited Woman Prayer Scarves" that a portion of each scarf's proceeds is donated by Spirited Woman into the Spirited Woman Foundation.

We are also proud that select companies with similar missions have stepped up to the plate to help support us. We've Given Our First Gift! To Marlow Wyatt of the Girl Blue Project

In February, the first "gift" in the history of the Spirited Woman Foundation was given to Marlow Wyatt, founder and director of The Girl Blue Project, a self-awareness program for teenage girls whose purpose is  "committed to awakening the truest potential in young women by empowering them to embrace who they are and giving them the tools to create whom thy choose to be."

Founded 10 years ago, Marlow's highly creative mind, body, and spirit oriented project has taught 100s of girls, from ages 14-18.

For seven weeks during the summer, the program combines yoga, a self-awareness circle, creative writing, etiquette, acting, music, coaching, money management, community service, and more to teach the girls to value themselves by promoting discipline, non-judgement, self-acceptance, and self-discovery.

I've known Marlow since 2006. I first met her at one of her Girl Blue performances. I see how she has awakened the truest potential in these young girls. It costs over $10,000 a year to run her program. Our money will help.
