If you long for MYSTERY, ADVENTURE, and ROMANCE, with a truly SPIRITED HEROINE, then come with me to 1920's Africa. (www.suzannearruda.com).
Jade del Cameron is a New Mexico rancher's daughter who drove an ambulance in WWI and found herself taking a dying pilot's last request: to find who killed his father and to locate his missing half-brother. That adventure, Mark of the Lion, took Jade to 1919 Nairobi in British East Africa and she's never looked back. Follow her mystery adventures with Stalking Ivory, The Serpent's Daughter, The Leopard's Prey, and her newest release: Treasure of the Golden Cheetah where Jade leads a team of Hollywood silent movie stars to make a film on Mount Kilimanjaro where death stalks the crew.
The Denver Post calls Jade "A larger-than-life heroine far ahead of her time."
Publisher's Weekly called her "captivating" and
The Library Journal said she was "one of the most appealing heroines to appear in the pages of a mystery."
Author Suzanne Arruda grew up with two older brothers; reading, playing, watching all things Tarzan. That influenced her choice of future reading where she devoured just about every memoir or biography of every early adventuress to grace Africa. She studied biological sciences and even worked part time at a small zoo in Indiana before going on to graduate studies in ecological sciences. It was at this zoo that Suzanne once saved her boss from a rattlesnake bite and learned to drive stick shift at the same time. Suzanne brings her knowledge and love of wildlife and Africa to the fore in this series.
Suzanne is an avid hiker and a member of Women in the Outdoors where she gets to learn some of her character's skills such as shooting a rifle, archery, making fire with flint and steel and other fun activities.
